Nintendo Wii Price Slash: $150 Inc Free Wheel & Mario Kart

If we cast our minds back just a matter of weeks ago, some of you may remember that Nintendo announced that they were going to drop their Wii console price. The gaming device which has been on our shelves since 2006 will now be reduced from May 15th.

As well as the price dropping to $149.99, a new package will be introduced including the Mario Kart game and a Wii steering wheel, which alone would set you back $49.99. This as pcmag.com stated, will replace the much loved Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort games package that we have come to associate with the console.

Dependant whether you decide to choose the black or white version, accessories such as the Wii Remote Plus and Nunchuk controllers will come in the same matching color at an additional cost of $9.99.

Over at Engadget where a full press release can be viewed, you will notice that the big gaming giants Nintendo will also be offering a collection of their four popular Wii games at a price of $19.99. They will include Animal Crossing: City Folk, Wii Sports, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and Mario Super Sluggers.

What are your thoughts on the new price cut? Are you tempted or perhaps you would rather wait for the new console set to hit the world next year. To get some idea of what the next console will include, check out our previous Wii 2 or Project Cafe posts.
