We like to keep readers informed with all the latest handsets arriving and news from BlackBerry World is that the BlackBerry Bold 9900 and 9930 (Bold Touch) are now official, and due for a summer release.

The 9900 is for the T-Mobile 4G network while the 9930 is a global dual-mode CDMA/GSM handset, likely to be carried by Verizon Wireless according to Nicole Lee over on Cnet. Slimmer and sleeker than the current BlackBerry Bold handsets they do however look very similar although now have touch screen displays.

Specs as we noted previously, include a 1.2GHz Snapdragon processor, 2.8-inch VGA display with 640 x 480 resolution, five megapixel rear camera, 720p HD video recording, 768MB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage (expandable with microSD card) and also a QWERTY keyboard. These handsets will also be released running on BlackBerry OS 7 with a speedier browser and also voice-activated search and another feature will be support for NFC (near-field communication),
