Samsung Droid Charge Release Date News: Could be Tuesday

Many people are waiting for the release of the Samsung Droid Charge on Verizon after the release on Thursday was postponed and we have promising news on a release date as it seems it could happen as soon as this coming Tuesday.

On what should have been its release date we told about a postponement for the Droid Charge (originally dubbed Stealth) thought to be because of the Verizon 4G LTE outage that was ongoing at that time. This impressive-sounding handset has a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display, runs on the Android 2.2 OS and has an 8-megapixel rear camera as well as a 1.3-megapixel front-facer.

A screenshot from Costco has been obtained by Phil Nickinson over on Android Central, which clearly shows that Costco expects to have stocks in by Monday May 2, with all locations receiving stock by Wednesday. Another note states, “This phone cannot be sold prior to Tuesday 5/3 (a “do not sell flag” has been put in place at Costco.” Finally the screenshot shows that confirmation of the new launch date will be issued on Monday. We reckon that this will apply to all retail outlets, and not just Costco so whatever happens on Monday we think the release will be in the next few days.

While you wait you might want to take a look at a very comprehensive review of the Droid Charge by Chris Burns on Android Community, which also shows many images of the handset. Are you waiting for the Droid Charge? Let us know with your comments.
