BlackBerry Bold Touch: Now You See It Now You Don’t

There are a lot of people with their eye on the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet PC but something that quite often goes under the carpet due to the current popularity of Apple and Android is the smartphones from RIM. The BlackBerry Bold was the smartphone choice of many companies when it made its way onto the scene and it looks like it has a new version coming out in the Bold Touch which we have already reported the specs of.

We recently read a report over on BGR by Jonathan S. Geller that has one particularly jubilant user in the commenting system. He mentions in his report that they aren’t sure if the device will keep the word ‘Touch’ although it’s a possibility and that there’s an expectancy that it will have BlackBerry OS 7.

The original source reporting on this is CrackBerry.com where their article is talking about how RIM’s website administrators may have jumped the gun a little by adding the Bold Touch to homepage. This could be a bit of a slip up from RIM but there’s a chance that it was an intentional one to get people talking about it before the BlackBerry World Conference.

Interestingly from the pictures shown you can also see the BlackBerry PlayBook with Facebook on it which looks very nice and is more than likely down to the version of Adobe Flash that’s running on it. Check out the video at the bottom of the article for a bit more information about it.

Does this look like it will be the next smartphone for you? Do you like the look of the BlackBerry PlayBook? Let us know in the comments section below.
