Apple iPhone 5 or New iMac In 2011: What Do You Want More?

As we know from the products that are out there already Apple are the trend setters of our time, look at what they did with the tablet PC market. They took something that was dead and turned it into a profitable, worthwhile market that many other manufacturers are now joining them in. Mobile phones are another market that has been revolutionized by Apple’s iPhone.

We have finally seen the release of the iPhone 4 in white but many people are stalling on buying one purely because they feel that the iPhone 5 is just around the corner. The iPhone 5 isn’t the only highly anticipated hardware that Apple has, no no, something else that has been attracting a lot of attention is the anticipation of a new iMac which leads us to a question that we want your answers to. The Apple iPhone 5 or new iMac, what do you want more this year?

The iMac release looks to be getting closer by the day as in the UK we are seeing low stock and discounted models. OSM’s Debbie Turner has been keeping up to date with the latest rumors of the new iMac which you can read on this link.

Both devices are iconic and this is going to be a tough decision as they are both aimed at different audiences so we are putting the feelers out there to get an idea from the Apple enthusiasts. There are rumors around saying that the iMac will have the new Thunderbolt peripherals which seems pretty likely to us but the thought of the iPhone 5 running with the A5 chip makes me personally lean towards it.

What do you guys think, the new iMac or the iPhone 5? Tell us which you want more in the comments section below.

my guess will be next week for the 2011 imac: if they are taking stock of the shelves for it, apple wont let the supply run dry for too long. as for the specs:

    sandy bridge obviously
    thunderbolt connectivity
i reckon they'll wipe the i3 processor from the 21.5 inch, the faster "sandy bridge" will allow for a upgrade to i7 for the top end imac
ssd, coupled with a normal hard drive for faster booting
the name change to "facetime" which im sure every looks forward to the most 😛

as for the iphone 5; with the release of the white iphone this week, apple wont send out an updated version this soon as it will ruin the white iphone 4's business, so they will keep that in the bay till november i reckon lol

I guess it comes down to what one is most in need of. Personally I am really hanging out for the iMac as I am currently on a 15" Macbook Pro i7 2010 model, and I need the bigger screen real estate as well as increased power for my work. As for the iPhone 5, well I am still really enjoying the iPhone 4, retina display, smooth running apps and camera are great and don't leave me feeling wanting more. Yet…

My guess for the new iMac next week:
Base model will be an i5 Sandy Bridge with integrated Intel HD 3000 graphics, 4GB ram and just a normal 1TB HD.
I'm hoping for a standard SSD in every iMac but I think they'll save that for the next update.

New iMac design and the expected updated processors, SSD, etc.. 24 inch screen with no chin.

lol chin :Pi love how they say there is nothing that isnt needed in the design, yet theres a huge fucken white brick flopping of the end of it, they can make a macbook air thats only 0.62inch thick, but they cant make an all in one that is thinner then 8.5 inches 😛

iMacs are in desperate need of upgrading. The gaming capabilities have seriously declined nowadays. The iPhone, on the other hand, is performing just great. I want the new iMac! ^_^
