Nintendo Wii 2 & 3DS Will Save Them From Plummeting Sales

There has been quite a lot of news and speculation about a new static console from Nintendo following on from the success of their now outdated Nintendo Wii. There has been quite a bit of speculation about the name that it will go under potential specs and when we are expecting to know more, well some of these questions have since been answered.

The codename as we understand at the moment is ‘Project Cafe’ and we have had some suggestions for a launch name such as ‘Nintendo Revolution’, the WiiHD and a few others. Matt Tran has also compiled a report about the sales of Nintendo products with profits being down by a fair bit. What we want to know is with the Nintendo Wii 2 & 3DS, will they save them from plummeting?

Already we are hearing that the Nintendo 3DS is doing pretty well, we reported the sales had surpassed their expectations and USAToday are reporting that the sales are now hitting the 3.61 million marker which is pretty impressive. Recent reports are saying that the new console will be with us in 2012 and that there will be a working model at E3 as we previously speculated.

There are two things that we want to know your opinions on, the first being, what do you think the new Nintendo console will be called? The second is, do you think the combination of the 3DS and the new console is enough to stop the sales plummeting as they currently are for Nintendo? Let us know in the comments section below.
