Apple iPhone 5 (4S) Prototype Spotted: A5 Chip Inside

We at OSM try to bring you as much news as we can on the Apple iPhone 5 and if we are honest the majority of it is pure speculation but we are sure some of it isn’t. We have recently heard from Reuters who are one of the most reliable sources around that the iPhone 5 won’t be with us in the summer but it’s more probable for a September appearance.

Now we are hearing reports that are pretty interesting, they are about the chips that will potentially be inside the iPhone 5. Apparently there’s been an Apple iPhone 5 (4S) prototype spotted sporting the A5 chip inside. We learned of this through Slashgear’s Rue Liu concurs with us about the September release date.

Something else mentioned by both Slashgear and 9to5Mac is that the prototype also has the same A5 chip as the iPad 2. We previously speculated about the next iPhone being a more gaming orientated one that has the same graphical power as the iPad 2. Don’t get your hopes set on WWDC being the reveal location because Apple is already saying it’s just for the software, we expect to see the iOS 5 revealed.

The CPU speed will be twice that of the previous iPhone with the graphics being up to 9 times quicker. Another popular article that we have that you may wish to get involved with is about how much you will pay for the iPhone 5 so get involved with that too.
