Facebook And Twitter Integration In New Rockmelt Mobile Browser

When using a mobile device, the web browser is a gateway to many destinations. However, I also like looking up the latest news on Twitter, and I enjoy talking to my fans on Facebook. If only there was a mobile browser that allowed me to do all that in one application…

Charlie White over on Mashable.com is reporting on the new Rockmelt browser which allows you to have Twitter, Facebook and other feeds as well as access to the internet in one single application. The Rockmelt team have also included a video showcasing the new application, which can be found at the bottom of this article.

When opening the app you are first asked to sign in with Facebook, after which you have to authorize the application and allow it access to your data. Twitter is also available, though you have to add it as a separate feed. The application allows you access to your Twitter feed, Facebook feed and web browser all in one place, and could be useful for those who don’t like switching between dedicated apps.

The browser works just like Safari, so you don’t lose the ability to stream video or audio, and it has a built in read it later function as well as bookmarks. For those who like a little extra out of their mobile browser, this could be for you. It’s free for the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad, and it can be downloaded from the iTunes store.
