ASUS Eee Pad Gets Official: Price & Release Date

Tablet PCs are some of the most sought after items around at the present time, lots of different manufacturers are putting their ideas out there to you and some of them are pretty impressive. Ones that immediately spring to mind are the Motorola Xoom and the iPad 2.

Now we have another device that has had a little bit of attention already but not too much, the attention it has had is mainly because of its unique design. One of our first reports on the device was back at CES 2011, since then we have told you when the pre-orders were available and also talked about this perhaps being a cheap alternative to the iPad 2. Now we can tell you a bit more about the ASUS Eee pad as they have gone official with the price and release date.

We learned of this through Slashgear’s Chris Davies where he tells us that the Eee Pad Transformer will be launching in the US and Canada on April 26th. Prices look like this for the 10.1 16GB and 32GB models, 16GB (TF101-A1) is at $399 and the 32GB (TF101-B1) commands a price of $499.
