Pre-Order The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 On Vodafone Australia

We at OSM have brought you quite a bit of news about the latest tablet PCs that are due to hit us very soon. One particular one is the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 which is one of the successors to the original Galaxy Tab that managed to find a place in the iPad dominated market.

This is the tablet that has grabbed the title of the world’s thinnest tablet PC narrowly beating the Apple iPad 2 to the crown. We have also reported a hands on with the 10.1 and its sister device the 8.9 where we talked to you about the specifications of them both. What we wanted to report to you today is that you can pre-order the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 on Vodafone in Australia now.

We learned of the report through Engadget’s Darren Murph where he spills the beans on the device and as it turns out, this is the device that we saw before the thin one. It’s the original thicker one at 10.99mm thick. Specs on the other hand for the majority remain the same with Android Honeycomb 3.0 as the OS, an 8 megapixel camera to the rear in there too.

Head over to the official Australian Vodafone website where you can also view some of the deals they are offering and they are pretty impressive. To buy the device outright is $729 with 6GB of data included. If you were looking for a 12 month deal then you will need to put $259 upfront and then page monthly amounts for your data which varies. Alternatively if you didn’t want to part with a sum of cash you can go with the $0 upfront deals that range from $39 – $73 on a two year deal.

What do you think of this device hitting Down Under? We are wondering what the price is going to be like for the thinner version, do you have any ideas about its pricing? Let us know in the comments section below.
