Motorola Atrix 4G vs HTC Sensation 4G: Specs Rundown

When it comes to new mobile handsets, the choice of what to choose is mind boggling. As well as phones that are currently in the pipeline such as Apple’s iPhone 5, others are just waiting to release such as the Droid Bionic, Droid Charge or Samsung Galaxy S II. Just yesterday another handset was announced, that of the HTC Sensation or Pyramid as it was known which is reported to be a big contender.

Another phone that really cannot be left out of the equation is that of the Motorola Atrix 4G along with HSPA connectivity being carried on AT&T. This fantastic handset which has had more than its fair share of good reviews definitely deserves a warm welcoming and for this very reason we have put it side by side to the new HTC.

Because we gave a rundown of the Sensation just a day ago, we will start with a refresh of the Atrix 4G with just a basic spec listing of the HTC. An interesting review roundup of the Sensation has been written by our very own Debbie, click here for more details.

Starting off on the Atrix 4G which coincidentally has been dubbed a “monumental device” from Joshua at Engadget, will run on Android 2.2 OS, include a dual-core Tegra-2 1GHz processor, 4-inch qHD display, 16GB of storage, 5 megapixel rear facing camera with LED flash and VGA front-facing, video recording at 720p, 1GB of RAM, fingerprint scanner, Ambient light sensor but the one selling point to this device, has got to be the additional laptop and multimedia docking stations that can be purchased which will then convert your phone into a device with PC funtions. When the phone is positioned into the dock, it becomes a fully fledged working keyboard upping the display size to that of 11.6-inches. Another winning component to the Motorola is that of the battery size, up against many other handsets, the Atrix gives an impressive 1930 mAH.

Moving onto the new kid on the block, the Sensation or 4G if you live in America. The HTC will give you a 4.3-inch screen, running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, 768MB of RAM, Sense 3.0, 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, 4GB of internal memory, 8GB memory, a bigger rear camera of 8 megapixel with LED flash, 1.2 megapixel front camera, video recording at 1080p HD and so on. In terms of battery size compared to the Atrix 4G, the Sensation will come with a 1520 mAh. Indications are showing that the newest edition to the HTC Empire will release sometime in June although until officially announced, take this with a pinch of salt!
