HTC Droid Incredible 2: International Roaming With Verizon

The HTC Droid Incredible 2 has featured in quite a few articles that we have reported on recently. Some of them include the release dates with the Xperia Play and the Droid Charge and the new models battery life that was detailed with the specifications.

Now we are reporting that the HTC Droid Incredible 2 will have international roaming with Verizon as informed by BGR.com’s Todd Haselton. He has compiled a report that talks about firstly the leaked images of the device that they have shown but then picks up on a detail from those pictures.

That detail is that the new device from HTC will support not only International roaming but GLOBAL. This is one of the major upgrades that is featuring that its predecessor lacked and if you check the image below courtesy of androidcentral.com you will see that the capability listed is more than 220 voice and 200 data service countries.

The device announced at MWC 2011 and the expectancy is that it will run on Android’s current Gingerbread 2.3 OS however with the new version looming this could still be updated (European version runs Android 2.2 Froyo).

We think it’s great to have multinational roaming for a smartphone but we also expect that it will cost you a pretty penny, what do you think of this feature? Would you buy a phone on Verizon because you can use it elsewhere in the world? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
