Acer Iconia W500 Goes Stateside: Pre-Order For 15th April

Acer’s Iconia W500 tablet was a device that we gave you details on at the end of March along with specifications, prices and news of the UK market being one of the first countries to get their hands on one. Today although the specs haven’t changed, its news that America will now have the opportunity to purchase one of these.

The facility to pre-order your W500 has now become available with CrunchGear reporting that the tablet has been seen at BHPhotoVideo with a shipping date of 15th April. Click here to head straight over to them.

The W500 has been reported by Engadget with a retail price of $549 and for this you will certainly get a lot for your money. To refresh you with the specifications, the 10.1-incher complete with 1280 x 800 resolution display comes with 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, 1GHz Ontario C50 AMD Fusion APU, AMD Radeon HD 6250 graphics, HDMI-out, WiFi, Bluetooth, 2 cameras one to the front and one at the rear, Windows 7 Home Premium OS and what makes this stand out from other rivals is that of the keyboard dock.

As we reported via Pocketlint, the device can feel a little heavy on holding due to the inclusion of the keyboard dock but this aside, it simply connects together with a plug in type action. The W500 can be brought as one entire unit or separately with the tablet and keyboard being priced accordingly.
