When it comes to scams Facebook has seen its fair share of them spreading throughout the massive social network. They normally consist of seeing someone naked or other crazy things like the recent Charlie Sheen and Miley Cyrus ones.
Scams like this rely on their clever wording to make you click on them and before you know it you have ‘Liked’ their page and are sometimes susceptible to Malware and all sorts of other nasties. Now we wanted to let you know about another one, it’s the Facebook Photoshop scam and it’s spreading like a virus across the massive social network.
So you might be wondering what this one is about if you haven’t seen it already. Basically, you will get a message through your Facebook chat from an infected friends where it says “hey, I just made a Photoshop of you’ prompting you to click on the link. Once you click on it, the intelligent little scam has found some kind of security loop hole that proceeds to spam your friends with the same message. NOT NICE!
Over at allfacebook.com their author Nick O’Neill has added an article that also talks about the Photoshop scam and he advises that if you have clicked on this already then you should really check out your settings are remove the little bugger. If you have clicked it and aren’t sure how to get rid of it then don’t worry, we have a previous report with instructions on how to remove malware and unwanted ‘Liked’ Facebook pages. We believe Facebook has taken action on this already but if you do see it then make sure you report it to the Facebook security team.
