Back in February we told you of a leak about three upcoming RIM BlackBerry phones, the Torch 2, the Storm 3 and the Bold Touch. More recently we gave you more detail about the Storm 3, which is now named the BlackBerry Touch Monza or Monaco but today we now have news of leaked full specs of the BlackBerry Bold Touch (Dakota).
As well as the 1.2GHz processor, 5-megapixel camera and 8GB of built in memory that we mentioned previously we now know the processor is a Qualcomm 8655 Snapdragon, and the Bold Touch has a 2.8-inch 640 x 480 resolution touchscreen display. It will also feature a 3G mobile hotspot and the memory is expandable to 32GB with uSD card.
The news comes to us from Todd Haselton over on BGR, sourced from N4BB and shows the full specification listing, and I mean full! There’s also a backlit QWERTY keyboard, Bluetooth 2.1, dual-band 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, 1230mAh removable battery and much more so check out the BGR link above to see the full specs sheet. We should be hearing more about a release date at BlackBerry World next month but it’s rumored to show around June or July
Meanwhile over on Engadget, Darren Murph is not impressed with the design of the Bold Touch calling it “ugly” and “last-decade” but there’s no doubt that there are many BlackBerry fans who will be pleased to see that this new handset is on the way.
