Mortal Kombat 2011: New YouTube Series – Trailer Released

Anyone who is a video game fan will have heard of Mortal Kombat, it is a game that has been around for some time and was first made popular in arcades, on the Sega Megadrive and the Super Nintendo. It combined brilliant character stories and brutal combat against the computer or your friends.

Now we have some news for any of you who are still enjoying the games and looking forward to the newly released version for 2011. Mortal Kombat now has a new YouTube series and we have the trailer here for you. The games are so famous that this web series will get quite a following when the first of a 10 part episode goes live on April 12th.

Over at PRNews, their author Alan Ng has informed us that the web series will go live a full week before their new game which will undoubtedly aid the build up to their latest creation in the MK gaming series. Ng informs us that the first episode will be aired through Hadoken.net on Tuesday at 4pm.

Enough chit chat, head to the bottom of the article to watch the video trailer which features Jax fighting against Kano. We are wondering if the series will be as gory as the game was and also if we will hear that one word that every MK fan wants to hear… TOASTY! Just kidding… FATALITY!

What do you think of the trailer? Do you think it’s a good move for the series to take to the big screens once again? Is there space for one more Mortal Kombat film if the web series is a success? Let us know in the comments section below.
