The Motorola Xoom is one of the most talked about and highly anticipated devices that we have seen at OSM. There were plenty of adverts and hints at it having Android 3.0 Honeycomb before CES 2011 and now their tablet is upon us.
With that being the case and there being lots of competitors looking to keep the CES best in show device at bay we were wondering just how it’s doing. According to a report over on BGR.com by Zach Epstein the Motorola Xoom sales disappoint a bit and we are wondering if the Apple iPad 2 or the price is the cause.
In the lead up to the release of the Xoom there was some speculation that the price of it would be through the roof and that you might be able to pick up a competitor product with better use of your hard earned cash. Perhaps it is the simple fact that the iPad 2 is upon us and it has taken their potential customers who couldn’t wait for it any longer.
The report from BGR gives some sales forecasts and the numbers are notably dropping. For further coverage of the figures including the share prices head over to Forbes where Eric Savitz has compiled his report.
