HTC Pyramid aka HTC Sensation Launch Date: Can You Wait?

The HTC Pyramid is a device that has been lurking around for a little while with photos being leaked and events being scheduled for it. Not only that but there’s also quite a bit of speculation about which OS it will be sporting, some reports say the new Android 2.4 (Ice Cream/Ice Cream Sandwich or Ice Cream Sundae) whilst others are saying it will have Android 3.0 Honeycomb which was designed for tablet PCs.

Now we have read a report over on Engadget by their author Vlad Savov where he says that the HTC Pyramid aka the HTC Sensation has a launch date and we certainly can’t wait. This device looks like it will go straight in at the top and compete with the likes of the up and coming EVO 3D.

Savov says in his report that device will be launched at the ‘see what’s next’ event scheduled for April 12th in London. It’s a bit of a shame that they are changing the retail name because the Pyramid actually sounded pretty cool, different and funky. Perhaps this will be its UK name and Pyramid will remain elsewhere in the world as so often happens these days.

For a little further coverage on the device and it being launched at the event in London, head over to Pocket-lint where their author Stuart Miles is talking about it. He mentions that should the rumors be true, this bad boy will have a 4.3” screen, dual-core processing and it will run on the latest version of Gingerbread. I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens eh?

What do you think of the device so far? Will you pick one up when it eventually becomes available? Let us know in the comments section below.
