Apple iPad 2 Stock: Supplies Improve – How About You?

We’ve written many times about the Apple iPad 2 and most lately our posts have been about the incredible demand for this tablet device, which has seen sales forecasts grow. At one time shipping times for online orders were 4 to 5 weeks but we have news that iPad stock is improving and there are signs that supplies are starting to improve.

Such is the demand for the iPad 2 that we recently wrote about how Apple was planning to take on an additional parts supplier in a bid to increase its inventory. The lack of supplies wasn’t just a problem for the US either as the international release saw the same sales shortages with stores sold out and waiting times for online orders. However it appears that online order shipping times have now eased a little and instead of 4 to 5 weeks the shipping times are now listed as 2 to 3 weeks.

In fact Seth Weintraub over on 9to5Mac reports that some people have said that their iPad 2’s are turning up more quickly than expected and some customers are even receiving their orders within a week. It’s a pretty good move by Apple to send out orders sooner than anticipated. Most people would rather be told they have to wait longer and then be pleasantly surprised, than be given a date that’s unrealistic, only for their much-wanted device not to turn up on time.

Supplies to retail stores still appear to be patchy with no waiting times in some areas while customers in other areas are still having to wait for around 4 weeks to get their hands on the iPad 2.
