We’ve recently given you information on the Acer Iconia Touchbook and also the Acer Iconia W500 Tab. In the latter we mentioned the Acer Iconia A100 Tab, which was debuted at MWC 2011 and we now have news for you of the UK release date and price for this tablet device, with pre-ordering available now.
The Acer Aspire Iconia Tab A100 7-inch tablet has some impressive specs and competitive pricing too. It features a Tegra 2 dual-core A9 processor, 512MB of RAM with 8GB of storage and also Bluetooth. It’s one of the new range of tablets featuring the Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system, which was specifically designed for tablets and features on the popular Motorola Xoom.
The price listed for Amazon sounds very reasonable at $299.99, that’s around $483, with free delivery, and the release date given is April 20, according to Vlad Savov over on Engadget, sourced from Amazon UK. We suspect it won’t be too much longer until this tablet is released in other areas too and with a UK price that’s so low it looks promising that a US price will be extremely competitive as prices are usually lower in the US.
If you’re thinking of purchasing the Iconia Tab A100 then a preview over on ZDNet may help you out, telling some thoughts about the device and more on specs. All in all we’d say this is looking like a very impressive device for a relatively small amount of money but what are your thoughts? Could you be tempted to purchase the A100?
