Sony Announce First DAB+ Radios

Here at OSM we like to try and keep you up to date with all the latest bits of tech from manufacturers like Sony, we have previously brought you news about the Sony Vaio F series 3D laptop and also the possible releases of a Sony 3G capable digital camera.

The latest addition to the Sony range will have music lovers jumping for joy as the company has just announced their first line of DAB+ portable radios, according to Geeky-Gadgets.com the first device is the XDR-SD16DBP.

This retro design radio sports a very well designed wooden case and is compatible with DAB, DAB+ and FM broadcasts, this device also features two 0.8W+0.8W stereo speakers and has two operational dials that make it easier to use. You can ssee this on the left hand side in the picture below.

Not content on releasing one radio the company has also announced a second device, according to Whathifi.com the XDR-C706DBP is a clock radio which shares most of the features of its counterpart which include large clear LCD display and DAB, DAB+ and FM compatibility. This clock/radio has an alarm that can be programmed for four users, ideal if you arise at a different time than your partner.
