We’ve been bringing you all the developments about the Apple iPad 2 since its release and most recently told how analysts were raising their forecasts for sales to 30 million units for 2011 and also gave you advice on iPad 2 stock tracking. Now we hear that it’s possible to hack your iPad 2 to gain the capability of using it for X-Ray photos. We can tell you how to find this information that shows easy hacking steps.

iPad 2 expert, Jason Bradbury, has created a hack which enables photos to be taken right through clothing, and although the development itself may have some scientific merit we have to point out that it’s a bit creepy to think of legions of iPad 2 owners prowling the streets. Nevertheless in the name of science and technology we’re bringing you this news in the hope that you’ll use it sensibly. There’s also a video of Bradbury showing how the hack works and you can view it below this story.

Over on Cult of Mac, sourced from The Next Web, Buster Heine, brings us the news about this hack and has also listed three easy steps to enable you to try it. The moves involve a filter and infrared light and no training in radiology is necessary as it’s really pretty simple. Before I go any further though, as I know many of you are getting excited about this hack, take a look at today’s date!

Matt Hickey over on Cnet also reports on this clever April Fool’s joke and goes through the moves telling exactly why it’s a prank and not the real thing. However Hickey notes that it’s particularly clever as it does have some real basis in science. What do you think of this April Fool’s gag, and have you seen a better one today?
