LG Optimus 2X: Online Retailers Stocked Up & Good To Go

LG are a company looking to move forward in a few different markets including the Tablet PC and Smartphone ones. In terms of tablets they have the G-Slate making its way onto T-Mobile and we have also brought you a report comparing the Optimus 2X to the Droid Bionic.

Today we wanted to let you know the LG Optimus 2X UK price at online retailers which have already stocked up and are good to go for their release date. We first learned of the news through Phandroid’s Kevin Krause who has said that the dual-core smartphone is in stock at Clove and Expansys.

The device that is described as ‘Insanely Quick’ by OSM’s Debbie Turner after it was sighted at CTIA 2011 has been handed a price tag of £449 as mentioned over on Eurodroid.com. Krause from the earlier article also mentions something fairly interesting; he says that as things stand, the handset doesn’t appear to be subsidized with any carrier contracts as yet.

The device is described as being the first dual-core Android featuring an NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor and in the states it will be known as the T-Mobile G2X. This is a smartphone that comes with some pretty high expectations and we are hoping that it fulfills them when it eventually makes its way onto the market.

What do you think of the LG Optimus 2X? Is this the cell phone you have been waiting for? Let us know in the comments section below.

It launched here in Singapore last week. I don't know what the battery is like but the UI is still laggy. You move your finger and the is still a small delay in the screen moving. Annoying when it's a high end device. I'd suggest waiting until they launch 2.3 on it to see if that improves the situation.
