iPhone 5 Delay Displeasure: White iPhone 4 / 4G LTE To Replace

With news looking more likely that Apple’s iPhone 5 will not be making an appearance in the summer and the possibility of it not actually coming until sometime next year, perhaps its the time to think about if and what Steve Jobs company will bring out as a replacement to the much talked about handset.

Over at Slashgear via Macotakara, they too have been asking the same question, and it begs the question whether the elusive white iPhone 4 will now make an appearance in place of the 5.

Added to this, if the iPhone 5 is delayed, it may now give Apple a chance to submit the faster 4G LTE network into the 5 using Qualcomm’s new 4G chipsets, something of which many customers seem to be steering towards as well as the inclusion of iOS 5.0, again a feature that we have touched on already in the last few days.

The iPhone 5 has been a huge topic of discussion on the internet over the last few months, and as slashgear pointed out they really only have until the end of September to produce and announce the new handset, before Apple are seen to be commencing into yet another sales year.

Tell us are you one of many disappointed by the iPhone 5 release delay? Or can you see the benefits of Apple waiting a little longer to introduce new features and iron out any potential problems? Let us know your thoughts.

Definately dissapointed – given all the hype about it being released in June, I had decided to buy an iPhone to coincide with my cap plan ending. My old phone could hold out a few extra months, perhaps to July. Don't think I will be able to get an iPhone now unless I go with the problematic iPhone 4. I dont think the iPhone 5 will be worth buying an interim phone for, no matter how good it is.
