Facebook Stupidity Continues: Posing As An Officer – Oh Dear

Now everybody likes to read through a story where someone has been a bit silly wouldn’t you agree? But when it continues by someone posing as an officer you do put one hand on your forehead and think… Oh dear. Why, oh why would you do such a thing?

We first heard about this act of foolishness over at allfacebook.com where their author Meredith Singer has added an article that talks about the incident that happened in South Carolina. The teen that was doing the impersonation was doing it in an attempt to meet women for sex.

Bradley Alonzo Bellamy posed as a member of the Horry County Police as well as having a number of other professions, he claimed to be a volunteer firefighter and he even claimed to be in the US Marines. Now this is one of three things, the truth, a lie or someone trying desperately hard to be Captain America.

That’s right, you guessed it, it’s all a lie, Police managed to catch up with the police officer impersonator after he had been contacting a woman and thirty of her friends using Facebook messaging. From there he began calling the victim names after she refused to meet up with him for a sexual encounter. Police messaged Bellamy back however he denied ever speaking to the woman claiming to know nothing about it. Bellamy ended up being charged with two counts of impersonating a police officer but he was released at the weekend.

Have you ever had someone messaging you in circumstances similar to these? How stupid can anyone be; he must have known he would be caught out on this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
