Toshiba Portege R830 Price & Specs: Ready For Pre-Order

Here at OSM we like to keep you up to date with all the latest laptops and gadgets, providing a high performance laptop at a good price is every manufacturers aim, hoping to provide this to their customers Toshiba have just announced their Portege R830 device which is available for pre-order now.

We first saw the R830 along with its siblings at MWC 2011, at first glance we couldn’t help noticing how much it resembled the Lenevo ThinkPad range, it wasn’t until we heard the spec list and details of the devices unique cooling system that made us think this computer could be a force to be reckoned with.

Protected by a rugged magnesium alloy case this laptop hosts a 13.3inch TrueBrite LED backlit screen offering a resolution of 1366×768 pixels, 4GB of DDR3 memory, 640GB of storage, choice of either a Core i3 or Core i5 processor and a DVD burner that has integrated Intel graphics. As we said earlier this device also uses a unique cooling system, this effective system works great in combination with the integrated motherboard, this makes sure that optimum heat dissipation is key in the running of this laptop. The R830 is ready for pre-order now and prices start from $888.99, Toshiba hope that this laptop will offer great performance at a low price, from what we have seen so far we think this latest computer is going to do really well. What are your thoughts on the R830?
