Motorola Atrix 4G Voice Quality Problems: How About Yours?

The Motorola Atrix 4G, released back in February on AT&T has received a lot of very positive press, being both a dual-core processor phone and of course featuring that 4G capability. However it has come to light that some users have concerns over voice quality issues.

We recently gave a comparison of the Atrix with the Motorola Droid Bionic and Droid Charge, and previously posted on the Motorola Atrix 4G vs the LG Optimus 2X (now named the LG G2x for the US) in a dual-core battle. We even had a look at the internals in a teardown of the Atrix but up until now we had not heard of any problems with the handset. News of the voice quality problem comes to us from Darren Murph over on Engadget and informs us that Motorola has now acknowledged that this issue does exists.

Apparently a message was posted on a Motorola support forum by one of the forum managers (Mark) and says that Motorola has been looking into this concern for some time but have only just received some of the affected handsets back from customers. This was in response to a question about how to improve voice quality, which sounded muted/muffled. It’s all rather a shame as up until now the Atrix has had a lot of praise as one of the best new Android handsets around.

No doubt Motorola will be trying their best to find out the cause of the problem, and some kind of fix and we’ll let you know when we hear more. In the meantime if you want to find out more about the Atrix 4G check out the Motorola product page for it. We’d like to hear from you if you’ve noticed any voice quality issues with your Atrix 4G so please do send us your comments.
