HTC Flyer Best Buy Release: Not Too Long To Wait

With the tablet market increasing by the day and now news today of Motorola’s Xoom possibly ending after the month of June this year, (yes that’s right its only just been released), does the HTC Flyer, a hot favorite we have to say, stand any chance?

Right from its initial rumors, the Flyer has been dubbed a big contender against the likes of the iPad 2, BlackBerry PlayBook, HP TouchPad and so on, and today news in from Ubergizmo has revealed that retailer Best Buy stores and will be stocking the Gingerbread WiFi -only tablet as an exclusive package. The fast, lightweight and very portable tab has been reported as being in the price region of $600 or thereabouts, although this has not been officially confirmed.

In recent weeks, we have reported that pre-orders for the device have been coming in thick and fast with some one million if not already on the list. Just a few days ago, we also gave you news about a UK retailer “Clove” who have already opened up a pre-order page ready for the tablet which they say is coming in April for a price of £600.

So what do we know so far about the 7-inch HTC Flyer in terms of specifications. Starting off the fantastic slate will give you a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 1GB of RAM, 1.3MP front camera and 5MP rear allowing you to make live video calls, 16GB of storage which can be expanded, HTC Scribe which will include a digital pen allowing you to capture and take notes and drawings, HTC Sense giving you a simple and effective way of looking through the weather, calendar, mail, photos and so on. Also is the inclusion of Adobe Flash 10.1, 4,000 mAh battery, WiFi and Bluetooth.
