iPhone 5: Quarter 3 Release Date Possibility With Metal Casing Inclusion

Huge speculation has surrounded Apple’s soon to be introduced iPhone 5, and the Steve Jobs company has faced a multitude of questioning about timings for release after the Verizon iPhone 4 announcement.

Problems with the original iPhone 4 led to worries for the big red device with signal dropping potential. These issues were initially quashed with the reported movement of the antenna location, but on introduction forums this still brought to light similar faults.

Some spoke of the decision to wait until the fabled 5th generation iPhone arrived rather than picking up an updated but still far from perfect 4. Problem was that Apple gave little indication as to when the 5 would be released.

That was until now, according to BGR a source confirmed that Apple were looking at releasing the iPhone 5 in the third quarter, and that a trial production had already begun.

Taking into consideration that the iPhone 4 showed itself towards the end of the second quarter back in 2010, thoughts are that Apple may want to release the 5 a bit later to give ample space between that and the February release of the Verizon Wireless iPhone.

As Phones Review reported the iPhone 5 will likely mimic certain areas of the iPhone 4 that it replaces, in regards to overall size. But as previously seen the chances are that it will house a far bigger screen, pushed right to the edges of the handset.

There is also remarks floating around about a new metal chassis that is said to improve the antenna performance. Rumors suggest the inclusion of NFC although this is very sketchy, but if featured would no doubt put the Apple handset at the top of everyone’s smartphone wish list.

Tell us if you expect to see the iPhone 5 within quarter 3, or are we going to be left hanging on? One things for certain, Apple really needs to impress with the 5 as there are a mass of top-end smartphones ready to take its crown.
