HTC Arrive Released Now on Sprint: Windows Phone 7 only $50

A few weeks ago we brought you the news that the HTC Arrive smartphone would be released on Sprint on March 20. The Arrive is now available and is the first Windows Phone 7 handset to come to Sprint.

We told how the Arrive was a rebranded version of the HTC 7 Pro, which was pretty popular, and there’s good news for those of you who want to purchase the HTC Arrive as the price has already come down. When Sprint announced the Arrive was coming the price listed was $199 after a mail-in rebate of $100 but we have news that it can now be purchased for $50!

Over on Engadget, Vlad Savov informs us that Amazon had already dropped its price for the HTC Arrive to $150 with the usual 2-year contract, and then in a further update it seems that Amazon has now cut the price further to only $50. Now that seems a really decent price to us and if you’re after a new smartphone you could do a lot worse than the HTC Arrive.

Specs include a 1GHz processor, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 3.6-inch WVGA touchscreen, 16GB storage and a 5-megapixel camera capable of 720p HD video capture. You can find out much more about it at the Sprint product pages here. Over on GizmoCrunch a report on the HTC Arrive says that RadioShack is also selling the phone at a price of $79.99 so that’s still a big saving on the listed price, although of course, not quite as good as Amazon’s. Also, Best Buy is selling the HTC Arrive without contract for $599.99.

Will you be heading out to purchase your HTC Arrive? What do you think of the low prices already being offered for this decent handset? Let us know with your comments.
