Casio C771 G’zOne: Pictures & Specs Leak for Rugged Phone

Here at OSM we pride ourselves on keeping up-to-date with the latest news and speculation on mobile devices but we’ve just heard of an upcoming phone that seems to have passed us by, the Casio C771 G’zOne. However we’ve now heard of some leaked specs and images of this smartphone that we’d like to share with you.

According to Jerry Hildenbrand over on Android Central this phone was briefly mentioned at CES 2011, and if you’re interested in something a bit different, a rugged phone to withstand the elements, this could interest you. The Casio C771 G’zOne will be coming to Verizon soon and specs include a 5-megapixel camera and 8 GB micro SD card and it will be running on Android 2.2, Froyo.

If you’re particularly intrigued by the ‘rugged’ aspect of this handset we can tell you that the Casio G’zOne has been built to military specifications with water resistance and also comes with Casio G’zGear which is aimed at outdoor activities. An added feature is a button that will allow syncing of social networks such as Twitter, Facebook and MySpace but there’s no news yet of a confirmed release date or pricing.
