For many users of Facebook having access to their account on the move is a lifesaver, if you happen to be one of those people and own a Blackberry device then we have some good news for you because, RIM have just launched beta version 2.0 of their Facebook app.

Unfortunately at the minute this update is for devices packing Blackberry OS 6.0 but we will see another update coming soon for those using a lower OS. This new update which is the biggest the company has released in over three years has a redesigned interface and now offers Facebook chat.

As well as offering chat this new improved app also offers a few new features along with some updates, the news feed feature has been improved so now you can scroll through your feeds without accidentally clicking. There is also new navigation control, notifications bar and external notifications, you can read more on these features by following the link through to Blogs.Blackberry.com.

For anyone that’s interested in this app you might also want to check this post out from Laptopmag.com, the guys here managed to get their hands on a copy of this beta and have done a hands-on review and have compared their findings to the IOS Facebook app.
