Apple Revamp Free “MobileMe” & Cloud Storage

Apple’s MobileMe service which syncs your devices to one another has recently undergone new changes, and in celebration the service is now being offered for free.

Well when we say free, according to BGR, there will now be a downloadable 60-day trial version of MobileMe next month, instead of signing up to the current yearly contract of $99. Although Apple are confident that the new revamped version will be successful, it still gives plenty of you a chance to sample before you commit.

News from Rue Liu over at Slashgear suggests that the current MobileMe will be axed within the next year to make way for the new updated service. Payment methods for the existing MobileMe service are reported to be cut with subscriptions slashed. If you feel tempted by this freebie, you will no doubt benefit from the ability to save all digital content such as your music, videos and photos which can be put onto bigger online files with the help of “iDisk.” On top of this, you will be able to store your email contact information, calendars and so on with the aid of them being synced to all Apple devices within the home.

Do you ever have those moments of sheer panic when you think you’ve lost your iPhone handset or even your tablet? With the new “Find MyiPhone” app or online at me.com, MobileMe will be able to find your devices, and to prevent anyone from looking at your privacy content, “Remote Wipe” will protect this.

As Slashgear reported, on the new MobileMe there may be the inclusion of “Cloud-Storage,” which will benefit you in the long run with being able to get into music, films and photos from just about anywhere across the internet.

What are your thoughts on a new 60-day trial, will you be testing it out?
