HTC Flyer Landing UK April: Rumored Price Given

At the beginning of this year with 2 major events that have been and gone i.e. CES and MWC, it became obvious that 2011 would be a busy time for tablet developers and manufacturers. The smartphone of course still remains a topic of discussion, but whereas 2010 was dominated just with Apple’s first gen iPad and Samsung’s Galaxy Tab, this year is proving somewhat different.

As we fly through the month of March with new offerings such as the Xoom, of course iPad 2, Galaxy Tab 10.1 and the TouchPad on the way, HTC’s 7-inch Flyer still remains a hot favorite with its 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 1GB RAM, 1.3 MP front camera and 5MP rear, HTC Scribe, 32GB of storage and so on. Just the other day we reported on some 1 million units of the tablet already pre-ordered even though we still have no concrete launch date to go on, and that in terms of cost, the Flyer had been priced at around the $600 mark according to the Commercial Times in China.

Today if the news from Pocketlint via UK retailer Clove is anything to go by, then the tablet could be with them by the month of April with a price label of £600. Although this is just rumor at the moment, if it does pan out to be true, then you may just have a matter of weeks to wait with a price that has reasonably matched with its other competitors.

News from retailer Clove said, “We’ve had some good news this afternoon. The first stock of the HTC Flyer is due to land mid-April.” Following on from this it was noted that the company have now set up a pre-order page but until the price is officially announced, it may be within your interest to just wait that little bit longer.
