Sad times at the moment with the tragedies in Japan but unfortunately there has been another, this one is a celebrity who has sadly passed away…Nate Dogg. His real name is Nathaniel Dwayne Hale and he died yesterday aged 41, the star was in the rap game with the likes of Warren G, RBX and of course Snoop Doggy Dogg.

The sad loss has prompted Snoop Dogg to pay tribute to Nate Dogg’s death on Twitter which of course raises the profile and helps him to be further recognized for his great music. Over at their author Jason Gregory is reporting that Snoop has written “We lost a true legend in hip hop n rnb. One of my best friends n a brother to me since 1986 when I was a sophomore at poly high where we met.”

He went on to say that he loved the rapper and he would miss him as well as a few more things like “so happy I got to grow up wit u and I will c u again n heaven”. He finally added “RIP Nate Dogg”.

It’s explained that Nate was battling against a few health issues that he had been facing for a few years, he had a major stroke back in 2007 only to be hit with another in 2008. There’s a brilliant article over at the blog so make sure you have a read.

Some of you may remember him for a song with Warren G called ‘Regulate’. As our own little tribute we have added the video to the bottom of the article along with a few others so we can all remember him well rather than in ill health. RIP Nate Dogg and thank you.
