Facebook Adds Enter Key Functionality For Comments

Facebook has been doing some manic updating in recent times, some of the updates have seen Warner Bros getting involved where you can actually rent a movie and watch it over Facebook, Sony may get involved with this soon too.

Of course there are a whole load of other updates that are filtering through; another that we reported on is the way that Facebook tagging is changing. Today though the purpose of this report is to inform you that Facebook has added the ‘Enter’ key functionality for comments.

Now instead of writing your comment and then clicking on the post button, all you have to do is simply hit the Enter key on your keyboard and your message will go onto Facebook. There’s even a little message beneath the comment box that says ‘Press Enter to post your comment.’

This however does prove as a slight problem for those of us who add in a space between paragraphs on a comment, as soon as you hit enter that comment flies onto Facebook and there’s nothing further that you can do about it.

Have you seen the new functionality? Do you use multiple paragraphs when commenting? Let us know in our comments section below.

UPDATE: Never fear guys and gals, if you hold down shift and press enter when you want to add in a space then you can.
[Thanks for the update WTK]

Actually, if you hold down the 'Shift' key and then press enter, you can add a line between paragraphs.
