Cobra iRadar: Now Hitting Android

For all of you Android users that have seen an app on the iPhone called the Cobra iRadar detection system and felt a little jealous you no longer have to. This little app that iOS users have enjoyed for a while now that helps you out on the roads.

Over at Engadget their author Donald Melanson is reporting that Cobra used the gdgt live event at SXSW to say that the iRadar will also be available for those of you with Android fans sometime in April. He goes on to explain that this consists of a standard dash-mounted radar detector and of course the app. It will take advantage of your devices in-built GPS signal and will warn you before photo enforcement zones.

This is great for you Android users who have a concrete block on your foot and can’t stick to the speed limit. Over at translogic.aolautos.com where Damon Lavrinc has put together an article that also involves pricing. He says that he expects the price of the Android version to be similar to that of the iPhone one at $129.99.
