Rihanna To Release California King Bed – As Chosen On Twitter

Here at OSM we like to keep up with celebrities using social media, one of the recent reports has seen Charlie Sheen joining Twitter and getting to over 1 million followers breaking Twitter’s fastest ever time to reach that milestone.

Not all celebrities are into it though, Debbie Turner compiled a report saying why Daniel Radcliffe doesn’t do Facebook or Twitter as well as why some big named celebs are choosing to avoid Facebook. One person who isn’t afraid to use it and has actually used it in a very clever way is Rihanna, she gave a list of songs to her fans from her new album and let them vote which one would be released on a single – the result, California King Bed.

Not only is this a clever way of promoting the chosen song but also for her gaining even more recognition and letting the world know of her new album. Over at beehivecity.com their author Johnny Penwarden has reported that this is the fourth single to be lifted from her fifth studio album for single release.

Penwarden also says in the report that the other songs that were in the voting pool were Man Down, Fading and Cheers. He also says that the song was produced by ‘The Runners’ who are currently working with the X-Factor’s Cher Lloyd on her debut album and they informed all of their followers via Twitter that this was the song choice.

The tweet from DJ Nasty read… “Congratz 2 My Team We Winning! The Real Runners Did Rihanna’s Official Next Single! ‘California King Bed’.” As things stand no official release date has been announced so expect to see this soon after she returns from her Australian tour.
