Razer Chimera 5.1 Headset: Price & Expected Release Date

When it comes to Razer products we at OSM have reported on a few in recent times, some of them include the DeathAdder mouse in black and also in a Dragon Age II style. We have also seen a few other devices such as the Razer Onza Xbox 360 controllers and the new StarCraft 2 Spectre gaming mouse.

Now we have caught wind of the new Razer Chimera 5.1 headset that is on the Razer official website. It has volume and microphone controls on the headset and a detachable 2.5mm microphone cable. It also has a 5.8GHz radio frequency and a 10m wireless range.

This has been designed specifically for the Xbox 360 and PC to give the best gaming quality and experience. It takes around 3 hours to charge and you can read through the full technical specifications on the Razer website under the specifications tab. The Razer Chimera 5.1 carries a price tag of $199.99 and it’s expected to be released in April. There’s also another Chimera headset that doesn’t have quite as high specifications but it is priced $70 cheaper at $129.99. This set is expected to be launched this month ahead of the other set so keep your eyes peeled. You can read more about it on this link.
