Samsung Stealth V Spotted: Tech Specs Revealed

We previously reported some of the specs of the Samsung Stealth V where we were asking you if you felt it would be the successor to the Galaxy S, but not the device has been spotted in the wild and we know a little bit more about it.

The Samsung Stealth V has been spotted and its technical specs revealed. Over at Phandroid their author Quentyn Kennemer is reporting on the device that and mentions that it really has been quite a stealthy phone especially compared to other devices being offered by Verizon.

On our previous article there were quite a few of you disappointed at Samsung’s uptake (or lack of) with regards to updating the firmware on their phones, one mentions that his wife’s iPhone has had two iOS updates in the 4 months that he has had his Galaxy S. The commenter did slam Samsung a bit for this and he was quickly told otherwise by more of our readers who like the Samsung devices.

Let’s have a look at the device and the technical specs that have been revealed by TechnoBuffalo. They were informed by an anonymous tipster that the device will be making its way onto the scene in mid-April so not too far away. The tipster also says that the device will start off on Android 2.2 Froyo but there are plans to upgrade that further but we are unsure when.

One of the problems that all 4G LTE enabled mobile devices face is to do with the battery life as this little radio chip certainly imposes itself on most handsets but the Stealth seems to hold up pretty well. The tipster has mentioned that a 1500mAh battery will give him a full day of 8-10 hours without a problem.

Technical specs include a 1GHz Hummingbird processor, a 4.3” Super AMOLED plus screen at a resolution of 480×800, a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera and a rear-facing 8 megapixel camera with an LED flash and auto-focus. It also has 828MB of internal storage with a microSD card slot that can take up to 32GB, there’s Bluetooth 3.0 and even HDMI out.

What do you think of the device? Are you impressed with the battery life? Let us know in the comments section below.
