Nintendo 3DS Release Revellers: Free Giveaways & Plan B Action

Just a few days ago, we gave you an insight into when and where to get hold of your Nintendo 3DS gaming console. At that time, we mentioned that the device will be available from Midnight on March 24th from either Game or rival retailers GameStation. Retail price will be £230.

Today an extension to this has been reported, with HMV in London’s famous Oxford Street also selling the console. Pocketlint stated avid gamers will be able to get their hands on a 3DS at 0.01 AM on 25 March and will be the official shop for the launch event.

That’s not excluding the other 99 HMV stores across England which will also be opening their doors from Midnight with the first console being sold at 1 minute past. If whatever reason the thought of standing in a queue dosen’t appeal to you, then maybe the freebies will!

For the first 500 consoles sold at Oxford’s Street HMV, consumers will be given a free goody bag which will consist of a limited edition T-shirt to mark the event, a special edition of the Official Nintendo Magazine, Nintendo “rewards” as well as a space blanket.

If you’re one of the lucky few to hold a Club Nintendo Membership, then your name will be entered into a prize draw enabling you to attend the special VIP party being held at London’s Old Billingsgate venue on the night. The celebrity line-up includes award winning Plan B, DJ Yoda, Parade and comedian Russell Kane.

Attendance is purely through membership only and to stand any chance, you have to reply to an email sent out today. The cut off period for replying is the day after tomorrow on the 11th March, coincidentally Apple iPad 2’s launch. If you have been lucky to win you will be notified by 14th. There will also be competitions going on to give you yet another chance of winning tickets, click here for more information.

Lastly, if you are a member of HMV’s purehmv loyalty programme, then as Pocketlint reported, 50 pairs of tickets are up for grabs. Click here for more details.
