Airline Flight Delayed? Cyndi Lauper Sings To Save The Day

For many stranded passengers at the Buenos Aires’ Jorge Newbery Airport, their day was to end with a difference. The poor travellers who had been delayed from their flight can now look back at this particular day, when celebrity music artist Cyndi Lauper sang her heart out to them, with iconic 80’s track “Girls Just Want To Have Fun.” The singer, songwriter and actress made it big particuarly in the mid-eighties when she became one of the first female music stars to have 4 top 5 singles from one album.

The news comes as a clip of the 57-year old singer has been seen on video sharing site YouTube, which coincidentally has pulled in thousands of viewers. The star who Press Association stated, was travelling from Argentina to Santiago on a music tour, took to the loudspeaker within the airport where travellers, whether fans or not, sang along with her.

There were several flights delayed last weekend due to a public holiday and a possible influx of customers travelling to the SXSW conference situated in Austin, Texas.

As Mashable reported, this is not the first time a music star has taken to the airlines. American rapper Kanye West was seen on a Delta flight travelling from Minneapolis to New York entertaining some of his fellow passengers, singing some of his tracks Good Life and Gold Digger.
