Twitter App For iPad & iPhone Gets An Update

For those of you out there that like to spend many hours of your day Tweeting away you probably accomplish this with the use of a mobile device, if you’re using an iPhone or iPad then you may be interested to know that the official Twitter application has just received an update.

This latest update comes equipped with an array of new features as well as some much needed minor fixes, even though this application is usable on both Apple devices it will appear differently on each device, because of this one of the biggest improvements will only affect the iPhone.

So what new features can we expect to see? The feature that’s currently exclusive to the Apple handset is called Quick Bar, this nifty little feature lets you see real time trends at the top of your timeline, to choose between each trend all you have to do is slide your finger from left to right on the screen.

According to a post by Rik Henderson the other improvements will come on both devices, these include an added camera button to the toolbar, automatic URL shortening, improved photo uploading and location based trends. If you want to see the full list of feature then you can check out his post over at Pocket-Lint.com.

If your reading this and want to either update your app or you fancy downloading it and trying it out then follow this link here to Apple’s App store, after updating our own app we can honestly see that the experience has been quiet vastly improved, we really like the Quick Bar feature on it.

Will you be updating? If so what are your thoughts on this improved app?
