Panasonic Lumix “Air Brushing” DMC-FX77: Specs, Price & Release

If you’re in the market for a new point and shoot camera, but are not really fussed about having a high spec device, then look no further as an announcement has come through of the new Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX77. But although this digital camera includes a basic specification listing, there’s one feature that’s got the world of Japan going crazy.

Bring on feature the “Beauty Retouch Mode,” allowing you to edit or photoshop as Ubergizmo reported, meaning that any images you do take can be changed straight away by air brushing them be it, removing wrinkles and unwanted lines, facial hair, skin tone, teeth color and so on. Consumers particularly females in Japan have been going mad over the $398 offering.

In terms of specifications, the new Lumix includes 3.5-inch smart touch LCD screen, 5 x optical zoom, 3D Photo Mode, ISO up to 1600, 12.1 megapixels, HD movie recording and so on, check out the video below for more information.

One of Panasonic’s head honchos Project Manager Akiko Enoki said, “According to data we’ve acquired, around 50% of our digital camera clients are not satisfied with the way their faces look in a photograph. So we came up with the idea so our clients can fix parts they don’t like about their faces after they’ve taken the picture.”

Currently the Lumix is available in Japan, but its not official yet whether the US market will get to enjoy it.
