Facebook Valued At $65 Billion By General Atlantic

When it comes to Facebook and its army of 500 million+ users there are certain things that you wonder such as how much is it really worth? We aren’t talking sentimental value here; we are talking in terms of shares and money.

There have been lots of different valuations of the social networking giant in recent times, so far we have seen a SecondMarket valuation of $70 billion but also how it previously gained 56% of its own value to take it up to $41.2 billion. Now we have just read a report that Facebook has been valued at $65 billion by General Atlantic.

The report was shown over on allfacebook.com where their author Jackie Cohen has written an article, within this she mentions that the latest rumor about the investments in Facebook concerns General Atlantic gaining a tenth of a percent stake in the company – this is 2.5 million shares which values it at $65 billion.
