Samsung Galaxy S II (2): Tegra 2 Processor Confirmed By NVIDIA

Although the iPad 2 was announced yesterday, we at OSM don’t want to lose sight of everything else that is going on in the world of technology. That is why we are reporting to you now that the Samsung Galaxy S II has just been confirmed to have the Tegra 2 Processor running at 1GHz.

This device is set to be the new flagship for Samsung in their battle in the smartphone market where they are trying to establish a foothold against the might of Apple (iPhone), Motorola (Atrix 4G) amongst many others.

If you read through the report over on Engadget by Vlad Savov explains in his article that this is likely to hit the US and UK first. If you would like to read the exclusive article written by Desire Athow over on itproportal.com where NVIDIA has confirmed that the processor will be present within the Samsung Galaxy S II then click here to be directed through.

This isn’t the only device that will feature the processor, as we mentioned earlier the Motorola Atrix also has it as well as the LG Optimus 2X. It’s also been reported that Samsung will be using its own system chip called the Exynos in some of the Galaxy S II models.
