i-Mego Retro Headphones: Classics, Heavy & Infinity Ready for UK

I don’t know about you but I like my music to play in the best quality that I can possibly afford, now granted that doesn’t mean the best quality money can buy but certainly better than a pair of £5.99 ear phones.

So when Pocket-lint reported on a new range of headphones from i-Mego I was literally all ears (please excuse the pun). The Hong Kong manufacturer decided to show off their latest headphones at the Bristol Sound & Vision Show last month. Having already hit the U.S, i-Mego will be infiltrating UK shores very soon, and with them will be the new Retro range.

Offered on three levels the Classics, Heavy and Infinity will cover the spectrum of price and sound demands. One area the three share likenesses in is the styling department, with all sporting an old style microphone chrome casing.

To breakdown the three starts us off with the entry-level Classics, finished in white with bright silver suitable for all music types. Next up comes the Heavy mid level headphones, with a smooth dark brown trim and smoked chrome covers. These handle a greater level of bass for those leaning more towards dance and rock tracks.

Finally we see the top spec Infinity range, swathed in black all-leather trim and also featuring the same bass capabilities as the Heavy’s. These headphones along with the other two, supply an impressive sound quality with the mid and top end offering bass quality on-par with more expensive brands. All feature 1.2m cabling and 3.5mm gold-plated stereo plug.

On the subject of pricing we can expect to pay in the region of £49.99 for the Classics and Heavy models, up to £99.99 to find yourself wearing the Infinity’s. For full specs and dimensions head over to imego.ecrater.
