With the official release of the iPad 2 finally here we can all breathe a sigh of relief, along with the updated hardware Apple have also given us a few updated utilities to use. These two new features to the world of iPad are FaceTime and PhotoBooth.

FaceTime which we all know is nothing new has been widely available on the iPhone 4 since launch, this feature which lets you interact with other users through video conferencing will be available on the day of launch with the iPad 2. Making use of its front and rear facing cameras FaceTime can be used to view who’s in front of the device as well as whoever is behind it.

The next instalment is a utility called PhotoBooth, with this great new feature users can make great use of the new front and rear facing cameras and take pictures, not happy with only being able to take pictures you can then choose to edit them as well by manipulating the effects with a the touch of the screen.

As these features have only just been announced along with the new iPad information is pretty few and far between, if you want to catch up on all the events news you can follow this link to Engadget’s live feed.
