iPad 2 In White Hands On-Video

With the great Apple event now over we are now left with what could only be described as one of the best gadgets of the past ten years, stop us if were wrong but this new release is going to be absolutely massive, not being able to be there ourselves is hard so we thought we would relay a little hands on action with the White iPad 2.

For those that don’t know this device is set to start shipping on March 11th, it will come in a choice of two colors black or white and a selection of 16GB, 32GB or 64GB variants. The price will remain the same as the original iPad with the base 16GB Wi-Fi version costing $499 and the top end 64GB Wi-Fi and 3G version costing $829.

For this same price there are a range of new features on offer, the iPad 2 comes equipped with two cameras, the back one can shoot 720p video at 30fps and has 5x digital zoom, the front facing camera will record VGA resolution also at 30fps. The device itself is 33 percent thinner than the original and also a little lighter weighing just over 600g, and will be twice as fast thanks to its 1GHz dual-core A5 chip.

One of the first of many lucky people to get their hands on this device were the guys over at Engadget, in a post after playing with the device they can be seen describing it as “insanely fast”, “amazingly thin” and they “definitely don’t feel like its lacking for features”. You can see a video of this machine being used below.

If you want to see more of this device working as well as here some more on what the guys from Engadget think, you can follow this link here over to their post.
