New iPad App For The Artist In You: Pencil Sketch HD

One of the reasons that the Apple products are so popular is because of the solid range of apps that are on the iTunes app store. It goes with the Apple slogan of “There’s an App For That” as there really is an app for just about anything.

We have recently seen the BBC iPlayer App going live for the iPad and also Liverpool FC’s Questions so that you can test your soccer knowledge. We also know that the new Angry Birds ‘RIO’ will be hitting the iPad and iPhone in March. We have now heard of a new app for the artistic type out there, it’s called the Pencil Sketch HD.

The app is aimed at the iPad, it takes photos that you have on your device and turns them into a sketch. It was developed by H.Rock Liao and it’s pretty impressive. Over at AppShopper.com they describe you being able to become an artist and create your own graphite drawing like a real professional. They also note that you can choose from different styles of note paper as your background.

The app will cost you £1.79 / $2.99 and if it’s what you are looking for then you can head over to iTunes and download it from there. Alternatively if you enjoy doing your own works of art using technology then you might be better off checking out our article on the paintbrush stylus for the iPad.

What do you think of the app? Would you use it? Let us know your thoughts on the app in the comments below.
